DEFINITIONS

  • An English term derived from sports terminology.

A high-level partner participating in the training of a boxer before a fight.

In the business world, this profession goes beyond traditional consulting by offering a more interactive, agile, and engaging partnership, where the Sparring Partner plays the roles of critic, mentor, and collaborator to challenge the professional constructively.

It is a thought partner and an idea provocateur, thus helping its clients to face and overcome their professional challenges through an unfiltered dialogue, questioning, and the joint development of innovative solutions.

  • Corporate Social Responsibility, as defined by the ISO 26000 standard, refers to an organization's responsibility regarding the impacts of its decisions and activities on society and the environment

The term "social responsibility" was coined in 1953 by the American economist Howard Bowen in his work "The Social Responsibilities of the Businessman”.

The French Pacte Law (Action Plan for Business Growth and Transformation) enacted in 2019 aims to strengthen the consideration of social and environmental issues related to their activities by companies. Thus, administrators and leaders of all organizations, regardless of their size, are encouraged to consider these issues in their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) management policies.

The new European regulations (including CSRD, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive requiring a non-financial report...) are not mandatory for all organizations.

But far beyond legal requirements, organizations stand to benefit from defining or reassessing their CSR policies in their operations and interactions with stakeholders today, in order to gradually transition towards a sustainable business model while developing new opportunities.
